AMPHIBIOUS AIRCRAFT
SW-201 Libélula
The SW-201 Libélula (Dragonfly) is an original design of aeronautical engineer Caio D. "Hueman" Barreto, modified and 3D modelled in cooperation with Santiago "Cubeboy" Cuberos. This original design General Aviation aircraft is available exclusively in Skyward Flight Media VRChat Aviation worlds using the Sacc Flight and Vehicles Prefab.
FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS
This aircraft features a level of cockpit detail that is uncommon in VRChat Aviation. It can efficiently be flown with realistic flight instruments in any flight condition without the need of a Heads Up Display. The feeling of flying a General Aviation aircraft is prevalent.
PERFORMANCE
This aircraft is notably powerful for a civilian aircraft of its size. With dimensions similar to the P-47 Thunderbolt and an engine output equivalent to the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp, the standard version of the SW-201 can reliably perform aerobatic maneuvers.
PASSENGER CAPACITY
This aircraft can be flown by a single pilot with an optional co-pilot to assist with operations. Five passengers can be carried in the cabin. Able to carry a maximum of seven people, this makes flying the aircraft a unique social experience.
AMPHIBIOUS
A signature part of the SW-201 design is its ability to operate on traditional runways and bodies of water. It can then transition from sea to land or vice-versa under its own power. This capability coupled with its thrust reverser makes the aircraft able to land almost anywhere, anytime.
WALKABLE
The colliders on the aircraft allow for players to walk on it while it is not in motion. Even while it is floating on the water. Being able to stand on the aircraft makes it feel more realistic.
COMBAT VARIANT
The combat variant features a canopy mounted gunsight for the pilot with twelve 5-inch High Velocity Aircraft Rockets and belly mounted quad .50 caliber heavy machine guns. Its versatility makes it suitable for counter insurgency operations. This variant was debuted in The Black Aces September Showcase 2024.
DEMO TEAM
A two-ship flight demonstration team has flown this aircraft with a dedicated routine since 2023. Crowds of dozens of people have enjoyed the high energy maneuvers, low speed passes and amphibious operation of the aircraft in 'live' virtual reality airshows.

A static SW-201 is featured prominently in 'Skyward Hangar Hangout'. This world features a ProTV video player for sharing music and video, RC cars, hand thrown ASK-21 Glider models, pool tables, arcade games and more. In VRChat these worlds are ideal for social events, meeting points to gather friends before world hopping and as home worlds for users to spawn into every time they log into VRChat.
