Two big announcements for flight in VRChat!
Airshow: Skyward Beach Bonanza
Remember the America 250 show? Well, we don't either because we had to postpone it, but the time has finally come for the Skyward Demo Team to make its debut. The event will start on August 15th, 2026 @ 10PM EST. The instance to join the airshow will open 30 minutes earlier. Be sure to drop by!

Skyward Flight Media Becomes a Media Partner for Flight Week 2026
On August 10th, 2026, official VRChat social media channels announced Flight Week 2026! Negentropic, the company behind Flight Week 2025, has returned to host the second annual official platform wide VRChat aviation event.
This year Flight Week 2026 will run from September 14th to September 28, 2026. Exhibitor applications are open but will close on September 7th. Their Discord, VRChat Group, X.com and Website are finishing their final setup, but are operational.
This year the two key parts of Flight Week are The Hub and The Tab.
'The Hub' is described as taking a Sagi Aerospace CVS-01 Aircraft Carrier, placing it in a dock and filling it with the types of booths, banners, posters you would expect of a convention. However, the carrier is still hosting static aircraft displays. The feeling sounds like it is very similar to a museum warship but with a heavy focus on the creators, communities, that make flight on VRChat possible and wonderous.
'The Tab' is a list of featured flight worlds (or flight experiences) which will appear in a Flight Week branded tab in the Worlds tab. This is a high profile representation for any event on VRChat. Flight Week 2025 had something similar. A screenshot example is below:
Last year Flight Week generated almost 300,000 visits within a week with relatively little advertisement ahead of time. This year this "flight week" has been cleared for 14 days - two weeks total. Could this be a testament to how successful it was last year? Possibly.
Skyward Flight Media has recently become a media partner for Flight Week 2026. With our deep connection to flight in VRChat since 2020, it was a natural fit for our organization. We will provide coverage for the event and social media support using hashtags like #FW2026 and #VRChatAviation.
