JET TRAINER
SW-210 Colibri
The SW-210 Colibri is an original design of aeronautical engineer Caio D. "Hueman" Barreto, modified and 3D modelled in cooperation with Santiago "Cubeboy" Cuberos. This original design aircraft is available exclusively in Skyward Flight Media VRChat Aviation worlds using the Sacc Flight and Vehicles Prefab.
INSTRUMENTS
The flight instruments are fully functional for the front cockpits. The forward cockpit features a Heads Up Display for quick access to vital flight data during training or combat. A second pilot in the rear cockpit can provide instruction while in flight.
LIGHT ATTACKER
If needed, the Colibri can be pressed into combat. It has four external hardpoints capable of mounting short-range infrared air-to-air missiles, large caliber gun pods, rocket pods and bombs. This aircraft has been used in air combat tournaments.
DFC CERTIFIED
VRC Dogfight Central (DFC) has selected the SW-210 Colibri as a jet trainer for certain parts of their training process. DFC staff were a key part in refining the flight values of the aircraft for SaccFlight 1.64 in May 2025.
FLIGHT MODEL
The Colibri is a single turbofan basic jet trainer. It does not have the same raw thrust as a full-sized fixed-wing fighter, but its light weight gives it a great thrust-to-weight ratio, crisp control response and good turning performance.
AIRSHOWS
For airshows the SW-210 flies with high visibility liveries. 'Smokewinder' style missiles release colored smoke during their performance to highlight certain maneuvers. The Colibri debuted at Black Aces September Showcase 2023 Week 2.
TOURNAMENTS
The first tournament featuring the Colibri was the August 2024 tournament which featured The Storm. The aircraft re-debuted with a new flight model and more traditional tournament format with the inaugural May-June 2025 tournament to start the DFC x Skyward FM partnership.
